Two year anniversary blog, sure to be a hit!
Uncategorized| November 6th, 2009 As the day of my two year anniversary blog extravaganza approaches, I’m trying to get my quota up. I’ve only got 5 days to get the total up, so there is a good chance I’ll be blogging away like a 13 year old girl with her first myspace. It would do me some good to figure out how this stuff works, and how to make spaces between my paragraphs and all that kind of cool stuff. Like, for example, could I post a photo here, or would it still wind up on the bottom of the page? lets see.
Amazing. Maybe I’ll grow to be a real master of this. Or maybe I’ll fall back in to old habits and not blog at all… I do hope to commemorate my anniversary blog with a bang. It’s not every day you get to celebrate a full two years of non stop blogging action. What’s the worst that could happen? I could write a boring blog, or log in drunk and make an ass of myself. (As our current east coast tour special guest Scott Miller put it, “there’s no breathalyzer on those things man…”) but seriously, what have I got to loose, everyone is over on face-book anyway… So I’m blogging away, like it or not. First question to the frequent bloggers of America: Who picks the names for things like “blogging” and “Tweeting” or “Yahoo” and “Google?” Or as my parents call them , “The Twitter,” or “The Google.” I can’t even invite my mom to join these things because I’d have to tell her things like “I just Poked Heather on the Twitter and she said to tell you hi…” I’m just saying, they could think a little harder about the names before they just shout them out at the big brainstorming session… I bet 9 out of 10 of these names come from some board meeting at about 4:30PM on a friday. ”lets think of something, clever, hip and cool to call this thing… something like twitter, but not… something cool. Well, Twitter works for now, lets think about it over the weekend and discuss it on monday.” And that’s that.
I’m looking forward to finding out more and becoming more advanced in the ways of modern technology, I don’t want to fall any farther behind than I already am… for the love of god, it took me half an hour to type all this.
Well, I’d love to stay around and chat, but I have a really, really, busy day. I’m off to run my fantasy lemonade stand on face-book and maybe poke someone on the twitter.
